Revitalising an Inner Melbourne Heritage Supersite
Jack’s Magazine is one of Victoria’s most intriguing heritage places. Constructed between 1875 and 1878, it had a continuous role in the storage of explosives and ammunitions throughout the 20th century. Decommissioned in the early 1990s, Working Heritage Victoria is now seeking Registrations of Interest from those wanting to be part of the future of this remarkable place.
Working Heritage Victoria approached Blink to devise branding and a range of marketing materials to create awareness of this exciting opportunity and most importantly, to spark interest, igniting the imagination of EOI candidates to maximise the potential of this magnificent site.
Launch Website —“Both the remarkable history and architectural heritage of Jacks Magazine provided an abundance of inspiration from a branding and design perspective.”
The resulting brand is both modern and with a nod to its historical past. Brand colours charcoal and sage green are a timeless combination, echoing the bluestone magazine buildings and the surrounding grassed landscape.
The site, captured via full colour photography, and used to striking effect across all communications, showcasing charming historical features of the current buildings, the site location, its breadth and unlimited potential.
“Blink came up with a stunning design solution that showed our property at its best. They were immediately across the complexity of the project and the site itself and proved flexible and efficient at every juncture.”
